Week Six Roundup

Ok, maybe my measurement last week was off. Hopefully it was. This week I measured in at 40 3/4 inches, which would be a 1 1/4 inch loss from last week, which seems kind of high. I’ll have to make some kind of a graph eventually with trend lines and stuff.

On the cash side, we spent $105.76 on food. This included a Costco run, but not the big shopping trip that we have customarily been doing on Sundays, (it didn’t happen this week. We came home and watched Alexandre Bilodeau instead).

I’ve decided that I’m not working hard enough to find exciting food to eat. When I first started out in January we tried all sorts of things, and with one exception, I didn’t eat that much exciting food this week. We had some pretty good chili, and Bacon-Potato soup, (which could use some refinement), and amazing Pizza, amazing enough to deserve its own post, but in general, we didn’t spend that much time finding exciting things to eat. The goal is to change that and find more exciting food.

  • What is Choices That Matter?

I'm a guy named John, and I do most of the writing around here. I went from a really active lifestyle to a really inactive lifestyle very quickly and my body is noticing. On top of that I'm worried about what's happening to our planet, so, I'm trying to do something about it.

For Christmas I received the book Food Matters, which I found very interesting and inspired me to start changing. Check out my first post for the beginning of the story.
